    Business Editors

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 18, 2005--FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the National Basketball Association today named the lineup of NBA international players to take part in the first-ever FedEx Global Village.
FedEx Corp. has called on Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash (Canada), Sacramento Kings forward Peja Stojakovic (Serbia and Montenegro), Utah Jazz forward Andrei Kirilenko (Russia), Memphis Grizzlies forward Pau Gasol (Spain), Golden State Warriors forward Eduardo Najera (Mexico), Denver Nuggets forward Nene (Brazil) and Houston Rockets center Dikembe Mutombo (Congo) to promote their international delivery services.
The FedEx Global Village is part of a program to highlight the FedEx portfolio of international shipping options among import and export customers in the United States and includes an interactive basketball, media and cultural area that will be featured at the 2005 NBA All-Star Jam Session (Colorado Convention Center) in Denver. The 54th NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, February 20.
The players' images will be prominently displayed throughout the FedEx Global Village, along with advertisements in the special All-Star section of USA Today and the official NBA All-Star program. The FedEx Global Village will also incorporate a fan interactive "Around the World" shooting court, flat screen TV monitors airing NBA global programming from China, Spain, Germany and Brazil and NBA.com international web site terminals.
Nene will be on hand to host and tip-off a weekend full of basketball clinics Friday at the FedEx Global Village. Dikembe Mutombo, Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng (Sudan), San Antonio Spurs guard Beno Udrih (Slovenia), Seattle Sonics forward Vladimir Radmanovic (Serbia and Montenegro) and former NBA center Manute Bol (Sudan) will also host clinics over the weekend. Some of the clinic participants will be chosen from top shooting performers taking part in the "Around the World" court, which will be decorated with icons from around the globe, FedEx branded backboards, basketballs and signage. A limited number of other fans who ship via FedEx at the NBA Store in Jam Session will also have an opportunity to participate.
This past December, FedEx Corp. and the National Basketball Association announced a strategic marketing alliance that connects FedEx's global shipping business and international routes to the NBA's global popularity and its growing number of international players. Currently, NBA rosters feature 79 international players from 35 different countries and territories.
"Global Leaders of the Game, Delivered by FedEx," is a monthly feature on NBA TV and NBA.com (http://www.nba.com/fedex/archive.html). Each feature is translated on all nine international NBA.com web sites (France, Germany, Canada, Brazil, Japan, U.K., Espanol, China and Taiwan), including U.S. Hispanic. Thus far, Houston Rockets center Yao Ming (China), Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (Germany), San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili (Argentina) and Pau Gasol have been profiled.
